In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Genuine spa facilities — An indoor pool, sauna, and massage services are available, and the pool is mentioned as a welcome bonus in warm weather.
  • High staff ratings — Staff score 8.8, and multiple reviews praise helpfulness, particularly with airport transfers and early breakfast requests.
  • Good transport links — A tram stop is nearby, and the Vysehrad metro station is about a 15-minute walk, making the old town reachable in about 15 minutes by tram.
  • Excellent value for money — With rooms from £39 and a value score of 8.1, reviewers note the price is unbeatable for what's offered.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Facilities score is lower than average — The facilities rating is 6.5, the lowest category, suggesting the amenities may feel dated or limited to some guests.
  • Compact rooms — Several reviewers note the rooms are small, which may feel tight for some guests even if they didn't mind it.
  • Pool comes at a charge — One guest notes the pool has a small extra fee, which may be unexpected.
  • Area may feel off-putting initially — The surrounding district is not the prettiest part of Prague, and one couple said it was off-putting at first, though they never felt unsafe.

“The staff were really helpful arranging our airport transfers.”

8.3Verified guest

“Some reviewers mentioned the room size, but my wife and I found it plenty big enough for two. Very comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful, and breakfast was good — the cook and waitress couldn't be faulted. The lift fits four people and never failed once. The area was a bit off-putting at first, but we never felt uncomfortable walking around, even at night. Once you figure out the tram system, it's easy to get anywhere. The public transport is far better than in the UK, and you can even buy tickets at reception. It was very hot when we visited, so the pool was a big bonus, despite a small charge. For the price, unbeatable.”

“The hotel was clean and the staff, especially the manager, were approachable.”

“Excellent food variety here.”

“I enjoyed talking with the hotel staff, and my room was clean. The breakfast was nice and the whole stay was comfortable.”

8.3Verified guest

“Helpful staff who spoke good English. They arranged a takeaway breakfast for my 05:00 departure, even though I arrived at 21:00 the night before. The facilities looked good (pool, sauna), but I didn't have time to use them.”
